The TM Rallysport Cars
Subaru Impreza – P135 XBW
This Prodrive-produced works car, built in 1996, was part of the Colin McRae, Kenneth Ericsson, Piero Liatti works team – and driven by Liatti in the last round of the 1996 World Championships.
Simon Jean Joseph subsequently drove the Impreza in the French/Belgian Championships, which saw him win the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally and the 1997 Championships. Joseph achieved second overall placing in the 1998 Championships.
The car was then transported over to Northern Ireland by Derrick McGarrity, who had it converted to right hand drive by McKinstry Motorsport. Following this it was successfully driven by the Doherty brothers in the Irish Tarmac Championships. Brian Murphy, Austin McHale’s famous navigator, and Walter Walsh had the car fully restored and set up on Reiger suspension. In selective rounds of the Northern Ireland Tarmac Championships, driver Gary White had great success at the Lurgan Park Rally, North Armagh when he owned it.
Trevor Martin brought it back home in 2012 and has been using it for Corporate Days and tarmac rallying since 2012.
He won 2nd overall and 1st in Class E in the ACSMC Tarmac Championship in 2013 and on the car’s second outing this year and second visit to the Brands Hatch Stages, the team achieved another 2nd overall and 1st in Class.
Subaru Impreza – N555 MOB
Safari Group A Subaru ProDrive car recently stripped to its shell and rebuilt; is now proving to be a great gravel spec car – 5th overall on the Red Dragon Rally at Walters Arena this year.
